Monroe Dragons (Monroe, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mohawk Indians (Marcola, OR), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Oakridge for a 2A/1A-SD3 Special District 3 challenge on Wednesday, May 8. Monroe will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 24-8 league loss to Central Linn (Halsey, OR). The Warriors record now stands at 2-13.

With the loss, Mohawk falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Lowell (Lowell, OR) to battle the Devils in a 2A/1A-SD3 Special District 3 challenge on Wednesday, May 8. The Devils enter the challenge with a record of 3-12.
