Jace’s interest in photography began at age 12 with his first 35mm camera, a Pentax K1000. He pursued that interest by studying photography in junior high and high school, and later in life expanded his studies of photography and photojournalism in college. His enjoyment of photography continued into adulthood and his passion is stronger than ever nearly five decades later. Jace truly enjoys the pursuit and excitement of capturing special moments in action/sports photography. Shooting for MaxPreps provides Jace an outlet that allows him to share those moments with the athletes who create them. Jace primarily covers high schools in Ventura & Los Angeles Counties.

Jace has worked as a freelance photojournalist for publications such as: Ventura County Star, Santa Maria Times, Santa Barbara News Press, and South Pasadenan.
