After finishing college in May 2002 with a degree in photojournalism and a minor in anthropology Chad took a random chance and moved with his girlfriend (now wife) to St. Louis, Missouri to start freelancing. Three months later the native of Silicon Valley in California was offered a job at the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

For six years he covered everything from NASCAR to tornadoes. He has lectured at Stetson University and the University of Central Florida on photojournalism. He has won awards from the Florida Press Club, Society of Newspaper Design, Society of Professional Journalists, National Press Photographers Association, and more. He pushes his photos to be visually outside the box.

Now he is back to freelancing and accepting work for weddings, sports, editorial, and advertising. When he finds a spare moment between his wife, two mixed breed dogs and photography he trains for and runs in triathlons around the state.
