As a photographer I have had many opportunities and experiences that I have enjoyed, but none that have compared to photographing high school athletics. I started out as a photojournalist in Flagstaff after attending Northern Arizona University. I then moved to Yuma and worked for the Yuma Daily Sun. My experience in both Yuma and Flagstaff allowed me to see the value of high school athletics and the character building opportunities they offer. I returned to Flagstaff where I opened a small portrait studio specializing in senior portraits and returned to NAU to get a degree in secondary education. I am now a full time high school teacher and former coach who has once again turned his love for photography, high school students, and strong character into a part time business!
