My father, John James Godek Jr, was a Photographers Mate in the US Navy for over 20 years. It was from him that I picked up photography 30 years ago. My initial photography was while I was deployed in the service. I photographed glaciers and fjords in Greenland, beaches and Koalas in Australia, Arctic Wolves and Polar Bears in the Northwest Passage, and Penguins and Whales in Antarctica.

More recently I have been photographing sports at the youth, high school, college, and professional levels. As a member of the Maxpreps Professional Photographers Network, I cover high school sports of all types in the Seattle area.
