Summertown Eagles (Summertown, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Loretto Mustangs (Loretto, TN), 83-74 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Summertown upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Eagles host Wayne County (Waynesboro, TN) to play the Wildcats in a A District 12 bout on Friday, January 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Wayne County lost 83-75 in their recent non-league bout against Lewis County (Hohenwald, TN)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Marshall County Tigers (Lewisburg, TN) in a AA District 10 bout, on Friday, January 9. Loretto will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 66-52 non-league win over Greenbrier (Greenbrier, TN).
