In Friday's league outing, the Van Vandals (Van, TX) basketball squad nipped the host Brownsboro Bears (Brownsboro, TX), by a margin of 50-45.

The Vandals (20-10) will now prepare for their outing against Bullard (Bullard, TX). The Panthers go into the 3A Region II District 14 outing with a 18-4 record. In their last outing, Bullard got by Athens (Athens, TX), 72-45, in a league bout.

Next up, the Bears play the Chapel Hill Bulldogs (Tyler, TX) in a 3A Region II District 14 bout, on Tuesday, February 12. Brownsboro will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 21-12 record after their 55-48 league loss to Canton (Canton, TX).
