Bryson Cowboys (Bryson, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Newcastle Bobcats (Newcastle, TX), 39-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Bryson upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Graford (Graford, TX) to play the Rabbits in a 1A-2 Region II District 11 bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Rabbits go into the bout with a record of 17-2. Graford won 85-21 in their recent league bout against Woodson (Woodson, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Paint Creek Pirates (Haskell, TX) in a 1A-2 Region II District 11 bout, on Tuesday, January 21. Newcastle will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
