The Comstock Panthers basketball team (Comstock, TX), was nudged 57-56 in Friday's league battle with the host Utopia Buffaloes (Utopia, TX)

The Panthers (16-9) will now prepare for their battle against Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX). The Panthers come into the 1A-2 Region IV District 31 match with a 2-16 record. In their last match, Nueces Canyon was nipped by Leakey (Leakey, TX), 73-43, in a league match.
