Crowley Eagles (Crowley, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX), 53-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Crowley upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Everman (Everman, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Region I District 8 bout on Tuesday, January 6. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 10-10. Everman won 69-57 in their recent league bout against Seguin (Arlington, TX)

Next up, the Owls play the Mansfield Legacy Broncos (Mansfield, TX) in a 4A Region I District 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 6. Joshua will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Broncos come into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 46-36 league win over Stephenville (Stephenville, TX).
