The Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Howe Bulldogs (Howe, TX), 84-68 in Friday's league test.

The Lions (21-9) will now prepare for their test against Pilot Point (Pilot Point, TX). The Bearcats go into the 3A Region II District 10 test with a 15-10 record. In their last test, Pilot Point went down by Pottsboro (Pottsboro, TX), 59-47, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 19-9 record. They play next when they host Whitesboro for a 3A Region II District 10 test on Tuesday, February 10. Howe will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 77-51 league win over Callisburg (Gainesville, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 23-4.
