The Walker Pioneers (Ewing, VA) basketball felled the host Coeburn Blue Knights (Coeburn, VA), 53-41 in Thursday's league test.

The Pioneers (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Pound (Pound, VA). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, Pound went down by Jenkins (Jenkins, KY), 49-39, in a non-league test.

The Blue Knights now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Rye Cove for a A Cumberland test on Friday, January 4. Coeburn will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 72-36 non-league loss to Powell Valley (Big Stone Gap, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-6.
