Joyasia Smith has been named player of the year. "Joyasia had an outstanding 2021-2022 season. She played in all 28 games, averaging 22.3 points a game. She averaged 5.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.3 steals. For her career, Joyasia scored 1,205 points. Joyasia played the point guard role as well as defending the top player for the opposing team. Joyasia is also a track star for RS Central, in which she won the state in the 200m as a junior. As a coach, I have truly enjoyed having Joyasia as a basketball player since her seventh-grade year.
