Texas High School Basketball - Castleberry holds off North Side
December 9, 2016: Fort Worth, TX 76114 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Castleberry Lions (Fort Worth, TX) and the visiting North Side Steers (Fort Worth, TX), saw Castleberry's basketball squad hold off North Side by a tally of 23-20.
With the victory, Castleberry improves its record to 1-7 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Mineral Wells (Mineral Wells, TX) to confront the Rams in a 4A Region I District 7 challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Mineral Wells lost 47-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Archer City (Archer City, TX)
Next up, the Steers confront the Wyatt Chaparrals (Fort Worth, TX) in a 5A Region I District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. North Side will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Chaparrals come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 68-28 non-league win over Uplift Mighty Prep (Fort Worth, TX).
