Archer City Wildcats (Archer City, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Mineral Wells Rams (Mineral Wells, TX), 47-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Archer City upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Vernon (Vernon, TX) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 3-8. Vernon won 45-43 in their recent non-league bout against Notre Dame Catholic (Wichita Falls, TX)

Next up, the Rams play the Castleberry Lions (Fort Worth, TX) in a 4A Region I District 7 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Mineral Wells will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 23-20 non-league win over North Side (Fort Worth, TX).
