The Covenant Day Lions basketball team (Matthews, NC), was overwhelmed 78-47 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Christ School Greenies (Arden, NC)

The Greenies now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dudley for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 13. Christ School will confront a Panthers team coming off a 73-54 non-league win over T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 6-5.

The Lions (1-12) will now prepare for their battle against Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Knights come into the NCISAA Charlotte Independent Schools battle with a 12-4 record. In their last battle, Charlotte Christian trounced Cary Academy (Cary, NC), 61-44, in a non-league battle.
