The crowd at Saturday's league contest between the St. Augustine Purple Knights (New Orleans, LA) and the visiting Brother Martin Crusaders (New Orleans, LA), observed St. Augustine's football squad defeat Brother Martin by a count of 49-21.

The Purple Knights now own a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Archbishop Rummel for a 5A District 9 match on Saturday, October 19. St. Augustine will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 38-0 league win over Archbishop Shaw (Marrero, LA). The Raiders record now stands at 5-2.

The Crusaders (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Holy Cross (New Orleans, LA). The Tigers enter the 5A District 9 match with a 6-0 record. In their last match, Holy Cross thwarted Jesuit (New Orleans, LA), 16-13, in a league match.
