October 10, 2013: Marrero, LA 70072 In Thursday's league game, the Archbishop Rummel Raiders (Metairie, LA) football team smashed the host Archbishop Shaw Eagles (Marrero, LA), by a score of 38-0.
The Raiders (5-2) will now prepare for their game against St. Augustine (New Orleans, LA). The Purple Knights come into the 5A District 9 game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, St. Augustine overwhelmed Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA), 49-21, in a league game.
The Eagles now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jesuit for a 5A District 9 game on Saturday, October 19. Archbishop Shaw will battle a Bluejays team coming off a 16-13 league loss to Holy Cross (New Orleans, LA). The Bluejays record now stands at 4-3.
