The South Point Red Raiders tipped the host East Gaston Warriors basketball team by a final score of 65-59 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Red Raiders face the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) in a 3A Conference 14 game, on Friday, January 14. South Point will attempt to move on its 13-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the game with a 1-9 record after their 63-19 league loss to Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC).

With the defeat, East Gaston moves to 6-6 on the year. The Warriors host West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to face the Hawks in a 4A/3A Conference 12 game on Tuesday, January 11.
