The Creekview Mustangs will square off against the Turner Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Creekview's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
Creekview is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing White: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Mustangs blew the Longhorns out of the water with a 42-13 final score. Give the Mustangs' offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.

Creekview can attribute much of their success to Cason Garcia, who rushed for 102 yards and a pair of TDs, and Brendyn Shed, who rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. The Mustangs also got a significant boost from Kenyon Evans, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Creekview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 350 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Turner's offense. They were outmatched by West Mesquite and fell 65-0. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 922nd, while the Wranglers are ranked 243rd).
Creekview's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.7 points on average over those games. As for Turner, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Creekview has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 243.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Turner struggles in that department as they've been averaging 202.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Creekview against Turner when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 65-21 win. In that game, the Mustangs amassed a halftime lead of 37-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
