As expected, it was an epic pitching duel when
Roseville and
St. Francis (Sacramento) met up on Wednesday. University of Santa Barbara commit
Malaya Johnson struck out 10 and allowed just four hits for the Tigers. But it was visiting UConn signee
Hope Jenkins, who struck out the last batter of the game to give the Troubadours a 4-2 win. St. Francis takes over the top spot in this week's Sac-Joaquin Section MaxPreps Top 25 softball rankings.

Lincoln of Stockton on Thursday. University of Tennessee-Chattanooga commit
Peja Goold was phenomenal in the circle. She allowed three hits and shut down one of the best hitting lineups in the state as the Trojans won 2-1.
Oakdale made a leap to No. 2 overall. The Mustangs are 6-0 and have been led by junior Delainey Everett as the lefty has gone over 200 strikeouts already in her high school career.
