With the win, Calera upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to Oneonta (Oneonta, AL) to clash with the Redskins in a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. The Redskins go into the bout with a record of 1-9.

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Oak Grove Tigers (Bessemer, AL) in a 4A Area 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 7. Dora will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 65-52 league loss to Carbon Hill (Carbon Hill, AL).
