Cassie Reasner has been named player of the year. "I hate we didn't finish bringing home a Map from Oxford but I am pretty darn proud of our girls for finishing 3rd in the state. Sparkman finished 37-14 this season with a 3rd place 7A state finish. We were also crowned undefeated Area 7 Champions and undefeated North Regional Champions. Our 2023 Player of the Year goes to Senior shortstop, Cassie Reasner. She is committed to the University of Kentucky and has started every single game this season for us. She was selected to the 7A All Area Team, was a member of the North/South All Star Game, had a career high season with 14 homeruns, 32 stolen bases and defensively accounted for 7 double plays. She is ranked by Max Preps as the 6th highest BA, 3rd with Homeruns, 4th in slugging, 4th in RBI's, 3rd in runs scored, in the state of Alabama. "
