Ashdown Panthers (Ashdown, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Prescott Curley Wolves (Prescott, AR), 50-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Ashdown upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Panthers travel to Cossatot River (Cove, AR) to play the Eagles in a 3A Region 7 bout on Thursday, February 2. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 15-7. Cossatot River won 61-42 in their recent league bout against Horatio (Horatio, AR)

Next up, the Curley Wolves play the Mena Bearcats/Ladycats (Mena, AR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Prescott will attempt to upgrade on its 12-10 season record. The Bearcats/Ladycats go into the bout with a 10-13 record after their 78-53 league loss to Robinson (Little Rock, AR).
