Cotter Warriors (Cotter, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Melbourne Bearkatz (Melbourne, AR), 51-14 in a league bout.

With the win, Cotter upgrades its record to 16-9 on the season. The Warriors host Norfork (Norfork, AR) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 5. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 12-11. Norfork lost 69-57 in their recent league bout against Izard County (Brockwell, AR)

Next up, the Bearkatz play the Valley Springs Tigers (Valley Springs, AR) in a 3A Region 1 East bout, on Friday, February 5. Melbourne will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 24-4 record after their 44-39 league win over Flippin (Flippin, AR).
