Marked Tree Indians (Marked Tree, AR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Gosnell Pirates (Gosnell, AR), 66-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Marked Tree upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Indians travel to Lee (Marianna, AR) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, December 7. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Lee lost 71-68 in their recent non-league bout against Star City (Star City, AR)

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Rivercrest Colts (Wilson, AR) in a 3A Region 3 bout, on Friday, December 7. Gosnell will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Colts go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 59-47 league loss to Manila (Manila, AR).
