The Hackett Hornets nipped the host Acorn Tigers softball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Hornets (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Hector (Hector, AR). The Wildcats go into the 2A-4 battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Hector held off Westside (Coal Hill, AR), 13-3, in a non-league battle.

The Tigers now possess a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Cossatot River for a 2A-7 battle on Friday, March 29. Acorn will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Ashdown (Ashdown, AR). The Eagles record now stands at 3-1.
