The Shadow Mountain Matadors baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Thunderbird Chiefs to 5 in the Matadors non-league victory on Friday.

The Matadors (5-2) will now prepare for their match against South Mountain (Phoenix, AZ). The Jaguars go into the II Section III match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, South Mountain was edged by Shadow Mountain (Phoenix, AZ), 10-0, in a league match.

The Chiefs (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Paradise Valley (Phoenix, AZ). The Trojans enter the II Section II bout with a 6-1 record. In their last bout, Paradise Valley nudged Cortez (Phoenix, AZ), 10-7, in a non-league bout.
