The Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ) basketball nipped the host Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 48-44 in Tuesday's league test.

The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Williams Field (Gilbert, AZ). The Black Hawks go into the II Section III test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Williams Field got by Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ), 62-46, in a league test.

The Prospectors now own a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they host Campo Verde for a II Section III test on Friday, December 7. Apache Junction will clash with a Coyotes squad coming off a 67-48 non-league loss to Perry (Gilbert, AZ). The Coyotes record now stands at 2-3.
