In Tuesday's league outing, the Shadow Mountain Matadors (Phoenix, AZ) basketball squad knocked off the host Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), by a margin of 67-55.

The Matadors (15-7) will now prepare for their outing against Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ). The Falcons go into the 4A Desert Sky outing with a 13-11 record. In their last outing, Cactus Shadows topped Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ), 76-64, in a league outing.

The Prospectors now own a 3-20 record. They take the field next when they travel to Liberty for a non-league outing on Friday, February 6. Apache Junction will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 73-67 league win over Copper Canyon (Glendale, AZ). The Lions record now stands at 9-13.
