Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Perry Pumas (Gilbert, AZ) and the visiting Basha Bears (Chandler, AZ), saw Perry's basketball squad hold off Basha by a count of 52-51.

With the victory, Perry upgrades its record to 14-7 on the campaign. The Pumas travel to Hamilton (Chandler, AZ) to play the Huskies in a I Section II challenge on Thursday, January 17. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. Hamilton won 68-45 in their recent league challenge against Basha (Chandler, AZ)

Next up, the Bears play the Desert Ridge Jaguars (Mesa, AZ) in a I Section II challenge, on Friday, January 18. Basha will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 6-13 record after their 90-81 league win over Dobson (Mesa, AZ).
