Round Valley Elks (Eagar, AZ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Show Low Cougars (Show Low, AZ), 55-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Round Valley upgrades its record to 14-16 on the season. The Elks travel to Blue Ridge (Lakeside, AZ) to encounter the Yellow Jackets in a 3A East bout on Saturday, February 7. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 10-16. Blue Ridge won 57-47 in their recent league bout against Snowflake (Snowflake, AZ)

Next up, the Cougars encounter the Alchesay Falcons (Whiteriver, AZ) in a 3A East bout, on Saturday, February 7. Show Low will attempt to upgrade on its 8-20 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 10-13 record after their 91-57 league loss to Payson (Payson, AZ).
