Player of the Year
Jason Euler has been named player of the year. "The 6-foot-3 Euler recently earned All-State and All-Grand Canyon Region honors. He was selected to play in the Arizona Baseball Coaches All Star game held in Surprise by the Division 4A coaches. He can add The Flagstaff Eagles 2011 Baseball Player of the Year to the list of accolades as well. As a senior, Jason Euler had plenty of numbers. He hit for high average and power. He drove in runs. He drew walks and rarely settled for singles. A four-year varsity starter, Euler led the Eagles in several offensive areas. Jason had a .456 batting average with six homers and 43 RBIs this season. He led the team in Home Runs, doubles (14), RBI’s and innings pitched. Jason also did a great job on the mound. He led the team with 65 strikeouts and 37.2 innings pitched, averaging 1.74 strikeouts per inning and delivered a great strikeout to walk ratio of 4-to-1. In June, Jason committed to attending Irvine Valley Community College in California to continue his baseball career. Irvine Valley Community College finished with a record of 19-17 this year and took third in the Orange Empire Conference. Irvine Valley Community College is a legitimate playoff contender year in and year out. We know Jason will enjoy playing in sunny California and want to wish much success in the future. "
