Bio

Hello! My name is Ava Fay and I am an energetic, hardworking teenager living in Gilbert, Arizona. I am a Libero playing for the Gilbert Classical Academy Varsity Volleyball team. I have been playing for the varsity team since my freshman year. During my sophomore year, I was first in the 2A Valley Division with 391 digs, was named player of the year, and made the All-Region 1st team. I am the Vice President and Coeditor in Chief of the Yearbook Club. In this role, I co-designed the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 yearbook for Gilbert Classical Academy. I have also served as the Proprietor of the Senate Thank You Committee since my sophomore year. I am also the co-founder of a chapter of the Girl Up Club, an organization that supports girls in our school in networking and developing the leadership skills necessary to create meaningful impact in our community. Gilbert Classical Academy is an all-honors high school with high expectations and a rigorous curriculum. I work very hard to maintain good grades across all my Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors classes - my current GPA is a 3.9 on a 4.0 scale. Education is just as important to me as volleyball, as I intend to go far in life. I have been playing volleyball since I was eight, and it has been a large and overwhelmingly joyous part of my life. I am a dedicated, hardworking, coachable leader and student-athlete who is looking to play at the highest level of volleyball.
