Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Prospectors now sport a 11-13 record. They take the field next when they host Arcadia for a II Section IV challenge on Thursday, April 23. Apache Junction will face a Titans squad coming off a 11-3 non-league win over Shadow Mountain (Phoenix, AZ). The Titans record now stands at 21-6.

With the loss, Higley falls to 6-14 on the campaign. The Knights host Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ) to face the Sentinels in a II Section IV challenge on Friday, April 24. The Sentinels enter the challenge with a record of 15-13. Seton Catholic won 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ)
