Skyline Coyotes (Mesa, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Coyotes now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dobson for a I Section III challenge on Wednesday, March 25. Skyline will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Browne (Phoenix, AZ). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, Apache Junction falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Prospectors host Westwood (Mesa, AZ) to battle the Warriors in a II Section IV challenge on Wednesday, March 25. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 6-4. Westwood lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ)
