Globe Tigers (Globe, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Benjamin Franklin Chargers (Queen Creek, AZ), 8-5 in a league challenge.
The Tigers now sport a 14-8 record. They take the field next when they host Horizon Honors for a IV Section V challenge on Friday, April 22. Globe will face a Eagles squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to Florence (Florence, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 6-11.
With the loss, Benjamin Franklin falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Chargers host American Leadership Academy (Queen Creek, AZ) to face the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 5-10. American Leadership Academy lost 13-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Arizona Lutheran Academy (Phoenix, AZ)
