Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Lynwood Knights (Lynwood, CA) and the visiting Compton Tarbabes (Compton, CA), witnessed Lynwood's baseball team achieve victory over Compton by a tally of 7-0.

The Knights (5-5) will now prepare for their match against La Quinta (Westminster, CA). The Aztecs go into the non-league match with a 6-11 record. In their last match, La Quinta edged Firebaugh (Lynwood, CA), 6-0, in a non-league match.

The Tarbabes (1-10) will now prepare for their match against Lakewood (Lakewood, CA). The Lancers go into the Moore match with a 9-6 record. In their last match, Lakewood edged Cabrillo (Long Beach, CA), 13-0, in a league match.

The Lynwood Knights beat Compton 7-0 in a non-conference game at Lynwood. The Knights got great pitching out of G. Velasco who stymied the 'Babes' on 3 hits and struck out 5 batters in going the distance as the Babes fell to an overall record of 1-10. This loss represents a 10 game losing streak by the 'Babes' in which they have scored only 3 runs during that stretch, including being no-hit by the LB Wilson Bruins on April 4th in a Moore League contest. Considering Compton has had 35 errors in their last 7 games and no offense to speak of, means once they get behind in a game, the results are not very positive. Next up for Compton is a home game on Friday against the always powerful Lakewood Lancers.
