Next, the Falcons face the Rodriguez Mustangs (Fairfield, CA) in a non-league outing, on Monday, February 27. Fairfield will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Mustangs enter the outing with a 0-2 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Vintage (Napa, CA).

The Vallejo High School baseball team's big fifth inning helped them to a 5-3 win over Fairfield.

The Apaches (1-1) broke open a tie game with a four-run fifth inning sparked by pitcher Andres Fernandez' two-RBI triple that scored Dallas Cota and Nick Green.

Fernadez went five innings with seven strikeouts and one walk in the game. Antoine Blake went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Carlos Barrios went 2-for-3 with a stolen base.
