Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Antioch Panthers (Antioch, CA), 73-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Berkeley upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Monte Vista (Danville, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Monte Vista won 56-46 in their recent non-league bout against Oakland Tech (Oakland, CA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 4. Antioch will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Monarchs come into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 71-64 non-league loss to Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, CA).
