The Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) basketball felled the host Arleta Mustangs (Arleta, CA), 84-71 in Friday's league test.

The Lancers (10-9) will now prepare for their test against Van Nuys (Van Nuys, CA). The Wolves go into the East Valley test with a 4-14 record. In their last test, Van Nuys defeated Canoga Park (Canoga Park, CA), 63-47, in a league test.

The Mustangs now own a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Verdugo Hills for a East Valley test on Monday, January 25. Arleta will clash with a Dons squad coming off a 65-40 league win over Poly (Sun Valley, CA). The Dons record now stands at 12-7.
