The Beaumont Cougars (Beaumont, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Perris Panthers (Perris, CA), 61-55 in Friday's non-league test.

The Cougars (5-4) will now prepare for their test against King (Riverside, CA). The Wolves go into the non-league test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, King got by Citrus Hill (Perris, CA), 59-55, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Canyon Springs for a Sunbelt test on Tuesday, December 17. Perris will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 48-33 non-league loss to La Sierra (Riverside, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-7.
