The Exeter Monarchs (Exeter, CA) basketball felled the host Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA), 50-37 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Monarchs (1-11) will now prepare for their test against Selma (Selma, CA). The Bears go into the Central Sequoia test with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Selma thwarted Washington Union (Fresno, CA), 78-54, in a non-league test.

The Spartans now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Woodlake for a East Sequoia test on Friday, January 15. Strathmore will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 65-60 non-league win over Exeter (Exeter, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-11.
