Maxwell Panthers (Maxwell, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hayfork Timberjacks (Hayfork, CA), 68-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Maxwell upgrades its record to 10-10 on the season. The Panthers travel to Paradise Adventist Academy (Paradise, CA) to encounter the Cougars in a North Valley bout on Monday, February 11. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 6-16. Paradise Adventist Academy lost 70-53 in their recent league bout against Westwood (Westwood, CA)

Next up, the Timberjacks encounter the Redding Adventist Lumberjacks (Redding, CA) in a North Valley bout, on Tuesday, February 12. Hayfork will attempt to upgrade on its 14-6 season record. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a 4-18 record after their 67-36 league loss to Champion Christian (Chico, CA).
