Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Wasco Tigers (Wasco, CA) and the visiting McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA), saw Wasco's basketball squad hold off McFarland by a score of 53-50.

With the victory, Wasco improves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Chavez (Delano, CA) to battle the Titans in a South Sequoia challenge on Monday, January 7. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Chavez won 66-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Taft (Taft, CA)

Next up, the Cougars battle the Farmersville Aztecs (Farmersville, CA) in a East Sierra challenge, on Friday, January 18. McFarland will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record.
