Parlier Panthers (Parlier, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA), 46-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Parlier upgrades its record to 18-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Caruthers (Caruthers, CA) to play the Blue Raiders in a West Sequoia bout on Tuesday, January 29. The Blue Raiders go into the bout with a record of 8-15. Caruthers won 64-54 in their recent non-league bout against Coalinga (Coalinga, CA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Granite Hills Grizzlies (Porterville, CA) in a East Sequoia bout, on Monday, January 28. Strathmore will attempt to upgrade on its 16-6 season record. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a 17-6 record after their 76-45 league win over Corcoran (Corcoran, CA).
