Player of the Year
Dan Speciale has been named player of the year. "Dan was a three-year starter in center field for the Warriors and made some of the best defensive plays we've ever seen during his varsity career. As our lead-off hitter in 2015, Dan led the team in runs (22), hits (33), triples (5) and stolen bases (22). He batted .355 with a .435 OBP and a .516 slugging percentage. He also had a .986 fielding percentage, including 4 outfield assists, making only 1 error in 72 total chances. Dan also set or tied several single-season and career records at Westmont. He broke his own records for triples in a season (5) and triples in a career (12). He also set the career stolen base record with 50 and tied former Warrior's star Cannon Bernarding's record (2006-2009) for runs scored in a career (72). Dan plans to continue his baseball career at Mission College in Santa Clara. Good luck, Dan, and congratulations!"
