Player of the Year
Michael Hirsch. has been named player of the year. "Congratulations to Michael "Mikey" Hirsch for being selected as the Eagles 2014 Player of the Year. Mikey led the Eagles into the playoffs when the playoffs looked out of reach half way through the season. The Eagles strong finish, however, secured a playoff spot and Mikey led the way in his attacking midfield position. Mikey led the team with 32 overall points and was the key play-maker on the pitch. Mikey's shifty moves and quick bursts would leave defenders standing flat footed as he blew by them with the ball. Always threatening in the final third of the field Mikey presented a huge challenge to opposing defenders. His field general skills were also superb and his defensive skills would make the best defenders proud. His leadership and tenacious play will be sorely missed but Mikey will continue his soccer exploits next year as a Wildcat and play college soccer at Chico State University. We wish him the best.
