Final Play vs Coronado

FRIDAY NIGHT IN CORONADO: Down 5 points in the 4th quarter with 1:52 to go and no timeouts remaining, Classical Academy begins it’s final drive from their own 41 Yard line. After 3 straight stops for no gain by the Islanders, and an intentional 5 yard delay of game call by the Caimans to check the play call, the Classical converted a 16 yard back shoulder fade from James Duncan to Maximus Brown on 4th and 15 to extend the drive and keep their week 2 hopes alive. With the ball just across midfield, and time running out, it was Seniors James Duncan and Max Brown again, who connected after Duncan was flushed from the pocket and forced to find Brown fighting back to the Sideline for a 20 yard, toe tapping reception just before stepping out of bounds at the 29, to stop the clock with 18 ticks to go. From there ... it was a Luke Mizel "Tip Drill" to Brendan Archibeck on this 29 yard "Helmet Pop" walk-off for the win.
