Sujey Luna has been named player of the year. "Sujey Luna is an extremely hard working student-athlete. She was a key aspect of why we were able to win our first Southern Athletic League title for the time in 19 years. As only a junior, Sujey has shown a skill level that may one day translate to the collegiate level. Sujey has received countless awards, recently earning the Southern Athletic League Most Valuable Player for the 2014-2015 season. She has set the school scoring record for girls varsity basketball at Gustine High School. Sujey does not only excel in athletics. She is also an exceptional student who receives high honors. Sujey has played on the varsity level for two years, and she is a key reason for making it to the Sac-Joaquin Division 5 girls basketball Quarterfinals for two consecutive years. I am excited to see what she will be able to do during her senior year at Gustine High School. She leads by example and it a leader and captain on the team. We are all very proud of her. "
